Tito Naranjo

Tito Naranjo (b. 1937) (Santa Clara Pueblo), Professor at the University of New Mexico at Taos, Professor Emeritus at New Mexico Highlands University also teaches at the Northern Pueblos Institute. He has also taught at the College of Santa Fe, Northern College in Espanola, and the UNM Branch in Los Alamos. He has served as a Native American advisory group member for the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, on the Monument Advisory Committee for the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. and on the Board of Wings of America. He also serves as the Arts Marketing Coordinator for the La Jicarita Enterprise Community and acts as a Big Horn Sheep guide for Bear Creek Adventures.
Tito Naranjo is the son of Rose Naranjo, brother of Dr. Rina Swentzell, Dr.Tessie Naranjo, potter Jody Folwell, sculptor Michael Naranjo, potter Dolly Naranjo, sculptor Nora Naranjo-Morse and potter Edna Romero. She is the aunt of sculptor Roxanne Swentzell and potters Jody Naranjo, Susan Folwell, Polly Rose Folwell, Dusty Naranjo and Forrest Naranjo.
