The First Nations University of Canada is an Indian-controlled university which provides an environment conducive to Native learning styles. Originally founded in 1976 as the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College under the wing of the University of Regina, the University is now independently administered.

First Nations University offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees and has campuses in Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert, as well as various satellite campuses across Canada. Each campus offers academic advising, registration, student lounges, libraries, student support services, and elder mentorship.
