The Federación Ecuatoriana de Indios (FEI, Ecuadorian Federation of Indians) is the oldest national-level Indigenous organization in Ecuador. The FEI was founded in August of 1944. Jesús Gualavisí and Dolores Cacuango, long-time Kayambi leaders, provided leadership.

In the 1970s, Ecuarunari began to replace the FEI in the Ecuadorian highlands.
