Biography
Born November 11, 1972 in Ashern, Manitoba, Canada, Adam Beach has quickly become one of the most distinguished Native actors in mainstream cinema. A Saulteaux (Ojibwe) Indian, Adam grew up in Canada and first found himself acting in some TV shows until his film debut in Cadillac Girls in 1993. Since then, Adam has appeared in a number of more TV shows and movies including Dance Me Outside and Smoke Singals. Since these and some minor roles in hollywood mainstream films, Adam Beach has taken on more prominent roles in films such as Windtalkers, Clint Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers, and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee for which Adam received a Golden Globe nomination (1).
